Ms. Bosede Funmi Akinbolusere (Nigeria), holds a Masters in Gender Analysis and Economics from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda, and B Sc. in Agric. Economics from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria.

She has certification in many international and national developmental trainings such as ToT on Gender Responsive Economic Policy (UN Africa Institute for Economic Development and Planning, Dakar, Senegal), Mainstreaming Gender in the World of Work (International Training Center of the ILO, Turin Italy), Sexual Health and AIDS prevention for Adolescents, (Ofri Training Center, Jerusalem, Israel), Managing Gender Issues in Health Care (Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur, India), Basic of Health Economics (World Bank Institute, Washington DC, USA) and Participatory Planning Monitoring and Evaluation (PPME) (Wageningen International, Netherlands) to mention few.

She has over 13 years of experience working on various development thematic areas such as Adolescent Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS Prevention and Impact Mitigation, Reproductive Health for Conflict Affected Populations, Gender Mainstreaming, Research Methodology, policy, community and institutional strengthening, advocacy and development coupled with her experience working on project sites in various rural and urban communities. These have further enhanced her capabilities to cope with emerging issues in policy formulation & implementation, CSOs engagement, population and sustainable development programming.

She is currently facilitating health and other interventions for conflict affected populations in IDP camps and other vulnerable groups in Nigeria. Mentoring young people on leadership skills, career development, entrepreneur skills development, providing linkages to free online courses and funded studies (short courses & Postgraduate).

She is among the 2017 Advisory & Personal Mentor for “The Queen's Young Leaders Programme”, Assessor, Young African Leadership Institute (YALI-West Africa), Panelist, Annual National Female Food Hero Award by Oxfam. Fellow, Africa Women Leadership Institute (2014) and Sexuality Leadership Development Institute (2009).
