About the data

How these figures were put together

Source: INEC’s summaries of presidential results from each LGA (form EC8C) for 23 February 2019 and 25 February 2023. Figures are shown as printed, and totals for states and Nigeria are the sum of the LGA rows.

Turnout is votes cast ÷ registered voters. Turnout of accredited is votes cast ÷ accredited voters. Accreditation rate is accredited ÷ registered. Winning margin is the gap between the first and second party as a share of valid votes.

* The 2019 document has no LGA results for Osun State, so Osun shows no 2019 result and 2019 national totals exclude it. In several 2023 state summaries the “as collated” registered-voter figure differs from the sum of the LGA rows; this page uses the LGA rows. The Kano 2023 LGA rows add up to 10,929 more APC votes than the state summary.

Party logos are INEC’s official logos; parties without a published logo show their initials. Non-partisan. Only INEC declares election results.
